Philip was raised in Sweden by a father who specialized in leadership consulting for manufacturing executives. Prior to graduating from Colgate University, Philip spent his summers working in IT at Deutsche Bank as an intern for a hedge fund. He partook in a recruiting program for three-letter agencies in North Africa. The intersection of industrials, financial data, and intelligence is at the core of his persona.
Most recently, he worked for Vista Equity-owned 7 Park Data, where he was ranked by upper management in the top 1% of the company's employees. He served as a quantitative analyst serving financial predictions for customers such as Citadel, Tiger, and Point72. His notable public equity forecast models are related to stocks such as HD, LOW, LULU, AMZN, FTCH, and RVLV. He also led the launch of a product that generated 5X growth in average contract value vs. existing products. He was personally tasked to build a dashboard for Robert Smith and was placed on a team conducting macroeconomic analysis for Steven Mnuchin.
Before joining 7 Park Data, Philip held positions at a retail technology startup and analytics consulting where he developed a deep knowledge of retail and supply chain data. Philip is fluent in English, Swedish, Arabic, Python, and SQL.
Before he committed to Datavations full-time, Philip built out an inventory aggregation and a revenue model to reverse engineer the revenues of publicly traded Vitamin Shoppe (VSI), successfully predicting the revenues before earnings reports within 1% five quarters in a row. To save money, he built the infra used for this technology utilizing Raspberry Pis, which he stored in the basement of his grandparents' house in Long Island to keep them cold. He used this prototype to raise an initial round of funding for Datavations and also turned down offers to join a multitude of prestigious accelerators and hedge funds.
Philip serves as the CEO of Datavations and a board member. His obsession is with helping industrial giants adopt data science and AI. He sets the vision and strategy for Datavations accordingly. His involvement stretches from sales to engineering within Datavations operations, and his primary strengths are recruiting the right people for the right roles and finding optimal partnerships with the right investors and customers.
